Spring Festival and Easter Egg Hunt

With outstanding support from CYD and Progressives-Harambe members, our annual Easter egg hunt and spring festival held on Saturday March 26, 2016, was another fun-filled festive event. We had a very manageable group of about 60 kids and forty 40 adults, with very good support from "Word of Alive Christian Center".

We had loads of eggs to hide and boiled eggs to give out to parents. McDonald's gift certificates made for a number of happy egg hunters.

Lots of toys were given out to the kids, as well as McDonald and other gift certificates.

There was a breakout awareness discussion for the teens and tweens, and a games and prizes giveaway program for all of the kids. And many thanks to the Progressives for the food and food preparations, as well as decorations.

Galena Weekend Retreat 2016: Annual Fundraiser

In addition to raising funds to support the programs of CYD, the Retreat provided the opportunity for fellowship with friends and renewal of our spirits while experiencing the amenities of the historic town of Galena, IL. on Halloween weekend. The Bid Whist Tournament was suspended; it will return next year.

Holiday Toys for Children

This fantastic event was presented by CYD and Progressives-Harambe, Inc. on Saturday, December 14, 2019, 1-4:30pm, Children: 1-15 years. Attendance was great with fun and joy by all--food, games, lots of toys, and especially Santa!
